Mothers Day
Waking up on mothers day is always a little hard since mom died. So Frank and I always reflect a little on how wonderful our mothers were and how grateful we are to have had them. This always inspires me to be grateful of my surroundings and what I have been given and I always enjoy the day. So this mothers day was gorgeous the weather was perfect and I couldn't wait to walk the dogs. Marveling at the beauty of my neighborhood even though it's still quite transitional there is so much to enjoy. So many beautiful trees and flowers. Some people take quite a bit of care with there lawns others don't but there still some charm to that. As I'm walking I encounter a large woman(or man) headed towards me dressed in a black fishnet dress over bra & thong with knee high black boots carrying a bouquet of read heart balloons. She darts behind a rundown fourplex and hides out until I have passed. It left me wondering. Was this a mothers day early morning surprise or just a hooker with a gimmick. I ponder this for a while and continue my day. As I arrive at work one of my managers Claudia, who's always quite dramatic has fallen been burned and been cut all in three different interactions. She's crying and upset, she's also another mother who has not getting what she needs from her child. As are many of our customers on this the day of "mothers". I try to sooth her and move on, one thing after another the day falls into chaos and turmoil, unsatisfied guests who want more, angry mothers who wanted to go elsewhere but there cheap kids brought them here. Adult children still fighting for mothers love trying to make everything perfect. Sibling rivalry on steroids causing brother to fight brother. Jeez I cant wait for this to end. As the day progresses things quite down and a calm takes over, the breeze picks up and the ocean smells sweet. Mom has come to make it all better and all is well in my world. I love you Mom.
