Defending my Hummer H3

I love my new Hummer H3, but I feel like I'm constantly defending my purchase. A lot of thought and research went into this purchase. After my scooter accident I really wanted to feel safe. I also wanted something tuff looking but didn't want a gas guzzler which contrary to popular belief the H3 is not. I was surprised to find out it gets much better gas mileage than most SUVs on the road including Jeep Liberty. Not to mention all other luxury SUVs. It's great. I love so much about it. It handles great and it never gives me any problems, unlike the lemon of a Mercedes ML32o that I purchased. What a hunk of crap that turned out to be. Once the warranty ran out it only got worse. But that's another story.
Anyway I also think GM got a bad rap because people really weren't paying attention to the good stuff they've been putting out. Plus the customer service at the Dealership and in the service department far excel anything I have seen at Mercedes Benz of Miami. Just a lot of attitude and not much getting fixed there. Again that's another story.

Last night was tree triming night. Frank, David and I put up an all red tree this year. Frank decided on red in honor of our friend Leslie who always had a red tree and passed away this year. It was a somber night filled with a little sadness but also with gratitude for the wonderful friends we have and for the great life we are all living.

Miami parking ticket corruption

On 11/07/2008 I was unloading my car in the ally behind work literaly carring boxes with the trunk open and a friendly donut dunking police officer comes up behind me and starts writing me a ticket. I asked him what was the ticket for. He said illegal parking in a prohibited space. I said where should I unload? No answer, I get it, I said It's the Hummer huh? He handed me the ticket and drove away.
I have gone on the parking ticket website everyday since to pay this violation and nothing has appeared to pay. I thought perhaps the officer had formed a conscience and did not record the ticket but on saturday dec 06 sure enough the ticket shows up, so I pay it but since they don't process until monday it's considered late. Now a 47 dollar ticket.
I e-mailed and called was on hold for an hour and 10 minutes they said I would have to call accounting and they gave me a number that says it can't be reached.
Oh well once again miami authorities legaly stealing from honest tax paying citzens!
